L2 Cotton Goods is a small cottage business created to keep Mom happily occupied in her retirement. She has always loved sewing and creating things for others, and the very first Wheat Packs were made for her young grandchildren who loved crawling into a warm, cozy bed. Much like the hot water bottles of years past—but without the risk of wet sheets—Mom’s Wheat Packs quickly became a family favourite.

The grandkids used them for everything: warming up after shovelling snow, getting cozy while watching TV, easing sore muscles, or keeping warm while doing homework. Their parents loved them too—especially since it meant we didn’t have to keep turning up the thermostat!

When Mom retired, she needed something to keep her hands busy and her creativity flowing. That’s how L2 Cotton Goods was born—a way for her to share her talent, her craftsmanship, and a little bit of warmth with others.

All of our Wheat Packs are handmade in Edmonton using high-quality quilter’s cotton and filled with care. They make thoughtful, practical Christmas gifts and heartfelt presents year-round.
